I received the following in a message from a friend whose daughter gave
birth to twins a few weeks ago.

Any comments from you experts out there as to whether breastfeeding really
needed to be interrupted?

>DD (dear daughter) has developed a generalized allergy from the gel used
from the baby
>monitors and is having to take cortisone and benadryl. This means, no breast
>milk until she is through with the medications.
