I also can recommend Save the Children. They along with Christian
Children's Fund, actually work to help the whole community not just the
child. My father did work for both of these organizations for many years
and saw first hand the works they do. I was able to go with him to
Guatemala in the early 90's and was very impressed with the village
projects I saw.
