It is so very hard to go back and try to figure out why this mom had those
bf problems (seems mostly related to oversupply, overactive MER). It is also
apparent that mom/baby did not have an easy birth and hospital course.

What I would suggest for next time would be CONTINUOUS STS contact and
bedding in with baby on first several days.
If milk needs to be expresse in the early days, I would recommend hand
expression for this mom.
I would also recommend mom contact a bf counselor or IBCLC right away if she
feels problems are developing.
I am glad things seem to be smoothing out now.
