Several years ago I made a post regarding a mother I worked with that
pumped for her dying baby.  After her 3 month life had ended.she chose
to pump and give to a donor milk bank.  I have made a point of bringing
this up in my classes and it still brings tears to my eyes.  The
expressions on other parents has been remarkable.  It also emphasizes
the point that as parents we will try our best to do whatever we can to
make their life meaningful.

p.s.  I also referred her to a freelance writer last year to help with a
Mother's Day article.  The author felt it was important to acknowledge
those mother's that had a short physical relationship with their child
and gave all they could to make it better.
