Yes I have observed this clumpy milk several times. It's very interesting. I have observed in moms with babies who are older than 6 months. Feel free to contact me off list at [log in to unmask]

This mother says that her milk is clumpy, but that she has no signs of mastitis whatsoever. This has been occuring for over one week, and is getting more severe. She believes that out of the 5 ounces she is pumping, she can strain out about one full tablespoon of clumps. It is enough to clog up her bottle nipples. 

The one other thing that sends out a red flag is that she does have a history of plugged ducts, particularly in her areola, the most recent showing up just yesterday. Can this be what is causing the clumping of her milk? Is it anything to be concerned about?
