I see many moms at 3-5 days postpartum and totally agree with this statement.
One mom was induced twice because the first time did not work. Her breast
tissue was so hard. She also had an epideral. The couple was in their early
20's. The husband was freaking out that his wife had just gone through a
horrible birth and now had rock hard breast tissue. He was scared to hold his
son. I showed him how to cup feed and dropper feed him until mom could nurse.

The pump did nothing until she took several long showers and did a lot of
massage. Her baby finally started nursing about 4-6 hours later. Her ankles
were also very swollen.

Maybe moms should be aware that this might be another side affect?
