A mother from a LLL Group found a lump in her breast recently. Saw
Dr. and was diagnosed yesterday following a ultrasound and needle biopsy
as having Ductal Cancer. Told to wean immediately and then contact
Dr. for treatment. He mentioned possible lumpectomy or mastectomy.

Mother is nursing a 3 month old.

I've checked the archives and only found one posts on this. I have no
experience with this type of cancer. Are we talking permanent weaning
from both breasts? Permanent from one and possible return to lactate
on other later? Need info ASAP. Thanks!
