Hi all,

I just had a conversation about this today. We are puzzled by this too. How are we supposed to sterilize breast pump parts in the hospital? HMBANA says they don't endorse those bags at this time because of lack of research. But there is no way to boil these parts in the hospital. It seems like the best option. I was told though that to use them, you do need a dedicated microwave. You can use the one patients use to heat up their food. I would also love to hear ideas. We use dish soap to wash our pump parts. I feel fine doing this for healthy babies with the mother and when they are only in the hospital 2 days. But when it's a NICU baby, it would seem best to find some way to sanitize the parts daily. Thanks for any suggestions.
