I came across some interesting photos on a plastic surgery website: http://www.plasticsurgerypa.com/index.cfm?event=ProductView&CategoryID=45&SubcategoryID=102&ProductID=470

What I found noteworthy was the comment that this woman had breastfed 2 children, one for 1 year and one for 2.5 years. It doesn't say how exclusively she breastfed in the early months, and that could be the crucial factor. But to breastfeed for 2.5 years usually means that you have a reasonable supply. 

Looking at the photos of her breasts, I would have thought that she would be a prime candidate for MAJOR milk production problems!
