NAPNAP [National Assoc of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners] Partners with SPN [Society of Pediatric Nurses] to develop a new Scope and Standards Document.
Jan-Feb 2007, Vol 34, No 1

The article states that there are 2 Scope and Standard documents and NAPNAP, ANA and SPN decided to form a work group to make a document that "represents
the discipline, scope and standards of all nurses specializing in pediatrics and help pediatric nurses speak with one voice about pediatric nursing." The target audience is: " practitioners, the nursing profession, legislators, regulators, accrediting bodies, and the public."

Please note that accrediting bodies are the recipients of this scope and standards document, not the authors! Which only reinforces my belief that ILCA is the organization to promulgate Scope and Standards documents. IBLCE's job is to test and accredit, not make up Scope and Standards, and probably not even ethics statements.
