LLLI takes a very strong stanch on mixing causes. If an individual Group is
advocating anything other than "breastfeeding is best" and "each family does
what works for them" then it is the Group Leaders that are mixing causes.
The only way that it can be stopped, is by asking to speak to the Group
Leaders privately and expressing your concern. The Group Leaders work under
the supervision of a District Advisor, who should be visiting each Group
occasionally and if she sees anything, including mixing causes, then she
addresses the issue.
    LLL does not stand for:
        cloth diapers
        family bed
        organic foods
        natural childbirth
        cotton clothing
        chewed foods fed to babies
        homemade baby food
        homebirth
        undisciplined children
        baby wearing
        home schooling
        no circumcisions
        no immunities
These may all be good things (except for the undisciplined kiddos), but
they are not LLL! If you have attended a LLL meeting and are uncomfortable,
then try out another Group, each Group is unique to itself. At times in
Albuquerque we had groups that were the earth mothers, the working mothers,
the home schoolers, and best of all, an accepting Group of all mothers and
where they are at!
