I, too, HATE it when someone says to a mom, "Oh, don't let him use you as
a pacifier." My response is, "What would be wrong with that?" The person
usually looks startled. They've somewhere heard that it's a bad thing to
be a human pacifier, but when pressed for a reason, usually can't come up
with one! After all, what would they say? "Because he might be
comforted"? "Because I might make him feel better"? :)
