The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an alert to
breastfeeding women regarding the use of the drug "Domperidone" for the
purpose of increasing milk supply.

In its alert, the FDA warned of potential public health risks associated
with the drug, and reported that the drug is not approved in the U.S. for
any indication, including increasing milk supply. The report also indicates
that the drug, known to increase the secretion of prolactin, is not approved
for the purpose of increasing milk supply in any country.
