Hello,

I had a look at my archives of lactnet, but found nothing no comment about
this study; or I missed the right key words....
done on prospective way, from healthy newborn from birth to age 20

EBF n=167 at 2 months, n=116 at 6 months, n=36 at 9 mo and n=7 at 12 mo.
children were from families at risk
what was found is that: Exclusiv BF did not lower the risk of atopic
dermatitis ; on the contrary EBF was correlated with higher risks of atopic
+ higher rate of alimentary allergies;

I have no access to the methodology;
when the babies were considered as: EXCLUSIVLY breastfeed,
has anyone the information if the babies were really exclusively breastfed,
with no ABM at all?

I am trying to find a bia, a way to explain those "bad" results.... (some
allergy specialist here, use that kind of arguments to stop BF !!

Breast regards,

Françoise
