hmmm ... Linda are you aware of the contradiction in this post?  On the one hand you have provided a very prescriptive recipe for engineering specific caloric values by adding modified powdered cow milk to human milk (presuming that all mothers' milk begins with the same caloric value) and on the other hand asserted that the quality (and quantity) of mothers' milk varies " ... so which is it? and what evidence can you provide to support these assertions?
Also since the size of the scoop provided in infant formula tins varies significantly between brands (at least they do here), I am concerned that the 'recipe' for fortifying infant formula may not be accurate for all brands of PIF.
