I put off having a "baseline mammogram" because after nursing for over ten
years, and finally weaning in my 40's, I just couldn't see what it would
tell us. (Also nurses are terrible at self-care!)

When I was 50 (still pre-menopausal), I got my baseline. I was congratulated
by several of the people in the loop for waiting appropriately! (I knew I
was low risk....apparently in hindsight they thought so too.)

I vote with Diane W....
