Interesting observation!  I had the experience of being asked/told,
"You *are* going to breastfeed, of course?" by my ENT doctor when I
had a hearing checkup in my 5th or 6th month of pregnancy.  I was
happily surprised that he even mentioned it, and told him so!  We
then had a nice little discussion about breastfeeding, ear
infections, orofacial development, and other aspects.

That's the most forthright HCP I've encountered, and he definitely
was not "routinely involved in breastfeeding"!
