Hi there
I am a hospital based-and private practice LC and have been seeing a lot of different uses for Sweet ease
It is a 24% sugar solution- indicated for pain management for the NICU baby
Recently I have seen nurses using it on moms nipples to entice baby to latch -not sure I know how I feel about that---It just seems wrong to me --to put sugar on a moms nipple -not to mention what it could do the baby----am I being paranoid?---is there any research supporting its use in this way-any problems with it ??
 I need references
Thanks in advance

Gina Johnson RN,CIMI,IBCLC
