Thank you, Brian Palmer for the explanation of snoring and snorting in humans.

Now, what do you know about dogs who do similar sorts of things--she does
NOT sleep on her back, however, but has been known to wake me up when
snoring very loudly. (Her howls when dreaming also rouse me).

Will knowing the breed help? Pure bred Siberian Husky. Weight 62-65 lbs,
depending on weight of coat and season (she tends to eat a bit more in
winter).
Age: nearly 7 years In good health. Spayed.

Vets here say there is nothing that can be done except to move her sleeping
cage out of my bedroom! Ack!!

PS One of my previous cats (pure-bred Siamese blue-point) used to snore
terribly. But he was artificially fed (mother died in childbirth)--my only
bottle-feeding experience was of him and his brother (non-identical twin).
Two current ones are much quieter sleepers--except their purring, of
course! :-)

Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
