My very pregnant daughter (40 weeks and counting) sent me this comment:

"NBC had a segment on nursing this morning - it's weird how the
interviewers always try to make breastfeeding sound like this arcane
feminist sacrifice."

I think she has put her finger on it. The interviewers - and some of
the interviewees - just don't get it, that breastfeeding is normal, it
is what mothers do. Not only that, but they do it because it is
pleasurable and enjoyable!

I checked out the Today Show website. No surprises there. As my
daughter had warned me, the information is spotty and much of it is
inaccurate. She said that if all she knew about breastfeeding was what
she had seen on the show and read on the website, there is no way she
would even consider it.

Luckily, she knows better!
