Okay, Wise Ladies,

You’ve read that we’re presenting a packet of info to the hospital CEO at
her request about why we shouldn’t give out formula marketing bags.

She also wants a bag ---to see for herself what’s in it.

Okay. But WE know that the ABM companies have done their darnedest to be
sure it looks benign. So it seems important to label the aspects of the
contents that undermine breastfeeding to bring their “non-benign-ness” to
the CEO’s attention.

Our hospital offers several different bags (Brand X Jan thru June, Brand Y
July thru Dec, another “in case anyone requests it,” and a few random
“Organic” ones, too.) The CEO specifically said to only bring her one.

The research to determine which one sample to give her required
“sacrificing” (gleefully!) one of each as we took them apart for inspection
of the contents.

My question is: What is the ethical thing to do with the remnants?
This includes:
the bags themselves,
the cans of formula,
blankets,
lullabye CDs,
and other random trinkets.

Hmmmmm, thoughts? (Amazingly to me, NOT all the stuff is marked with brand
names.)

Also which pharmaceutical company is Nestle trying to buy? How do we know
that?
