Hi again,
In the last month or so it seems like there has been a rash of
mothers who are being treated for strep B --(7 of the last 10 pregnant or
newly delivered moms I've talked to in the last month) the treatment of
choice seems to be IV antibiotics during labor. I'm wondering if the rates
are going up or if testing rates are going up... what are the risks?
With the tremendous rates of yeast problems we aleady deal with in
our area, this widespread use of IV antibiotics on laboring mothers is
making it tough going in the early weeks battling the resulting thrush, and
breast yeast....

wondering in soggy yeast land....
