Found a quite interesting website "UBIC-consulting.com". This was quite interesting reading:

UBIC proposes the following marketing reflection day to review the key points that determine the success of your product and their performance in the market, in particular by analyzing the market company position as well as the sector’s threats opportunities and new possible development. Marketing reflection day on the ingredients for the world infant formula market. The Infant Formula Market is more than 100 years old, but it is still growing. It is a field of continuous research and a growing market for basic- as well as more sophisticated ingredients. Globally, the Infant Formula market can be characterized by several factors: Potential growth in emerging countries, butalso growth in value in more mature markets such as Japan, the U.S., and Western Europe. The gap between mother’s milk and existing. formulae is still considered as significant such as the recall of uncontaminated products. Security of production is becoming a growing issue as any accident is nowlargely advertised and has strong emotional and commercial impact with some irrational consequences. Nevertheless, for ingredient mmanufacturers the Infant Formula market is still a push rather than a pull market in terms of new products. The scientific background necessary to bring maximum security leads to a conservative position of infant formula manufacturers.
This is what we are up against.

A “new and expanding” market is bovine colostrum, according to the website, of which, infant formula is an application:

Bovine colostrum contains many essential nutrients and bioactive components, identical to those found in milk but at higher concentrations. These include mainly:•Immunoglobulins (Igs): mainly IgA, IgG & IgM, •Lactoperoxidase (Lp): anti bacterial enzyme, •Lysozyme (Lys): anti-infective, gentle oral germicide, •'-Lactalbumin ()-Lac): tryptophan provider, •Growth factors, •Cytokines, nucleosides, vitamins, peptides and oligosaccharides, which are supposed to boost mammalians health and have been included in a large number of food supplements and nutraceuticals since many years.

Do I forsee a new and improved formula that is better because it is like breastmilk since it contains colostrum?!!! (little does anyone know it is from bovine colostrum (cows) – oh wait, so are milk-based formulas!
