I had shut down my computer for the night, I thought, then got a
callback from one of my moms. I had told her last night to run,
not walk, to her doctor, with the baby, since from her
description of the pain she was having, plus the baby starting to
cry when breastfeeding, plus the fact that she recently had a
bout of vaginal candidiasis, I was preeeetty sure that she had
candidiasis on her nipples (and baby probably orally). To my
utter dismay, she told me this evening that her doctor said that
there was *no such thing* as fungus on breast nipples..... and
sent her home with nothing. I suggested she go to the
dermatologist. Poor mom. Not only is she trying to cope with a 7
week old baby and thrush, she's gone back to studying at the
university four days a week and pumps, has a miserable cold, and
now her doctor is in denial. If we don't have a medal-winning mom
of the month award, we should, and I would like to put in this
mom's candidacy! Hope y'all had a better day than I did! Regards,
