<<<<Several years ago I read a social media mommie blog about how nasty
lactation consultants are, along with several comments from readers.I really
listened to that and printed out the comments for my colleagues to read.We
just can't be pushy. We need to meet mothers where they are
at.Psychological safety is very interesting>>>>

Suggestions for consideration:
1) stop reading cyber-garbage and disseminating such
2) start reading about how uneducated and negligent healthcare providers
who consider themselves breastfeeding advocates or specialist, but who
actually are better suited to be formula advocates and specialist, can reverse
their irresponsible situation
3) encourage, support, and facilitate your peers to learn about how to be
responsibly educated and professional advocates of breastfeeding and
breast-milk feeding, ...as they become knowledgeable and skilled in their
interactions with expectant and new mothers and families, they will never be
accused of being pushy
4) 'meet mothers where they are' - if an LC is where they are: provide the
education, support, and tools they need to be successful with doing what
is nutritionally best for their baby, ...this includes a review of the
hazards and risk of formula feeding so they will feel psychologically safe with
breastfeeding.
