The midwives I work with here in the hospital setting fuction much as the
OB/Gyns - they care for the moms but the babies are the responsibility of
the Pediatrician or Family Practice doctor. I'm in York, PA, USA. How does
this work in other areas of the USA? In other countries? Up to what age does
the midwife assume responsibility for the baby? Do they care for sick
babies, too?
