Hello to all,
                    My name is Chris Hoadley.  I have been a Counsellor
with the Nursing Mothers' Association of Australia for over 17 years and I
am currently a Board member with the responsibility of the Publications
Unit.
                    I have been reading Lactnet posts for a couple of
months now but this is the first I have sent.  I am in awe of your
knowledge and expertise and thank you for the opportunity of learning from
this forum.
                    I have some exciting news to impart. Yesterday, NMAA
learnt that it had won the Tender for $350000 of Federal Govt funds to put
towards projects which will increase community awareness of the benefits
of breastfeeding and will increase the breastfeeding rates in Australia.
Needless to say, we are all delighted and excited.
                    We recently started an Internet group for NMAA
Counsellors (bcnet) and it has been very well received.  You will
recognise us by the gold ribbons along side our Lactnet green ones at our
International Conference in October.
