I am told that mine come in a variety of flavours, the favourites being
called "coke" and "chocolate" -- so much for whole foods!-- but
including guacomole and coriander, which promote restful night feedings.

Eight years ago our local breastfeeding promotion committee finally
managed to rid the hospital of vanilla-flavoured pacifiers. This was
done, I think, by "losing" a certain number of boxes of gifts that
somebody may find in their basement when they move... :-)
I know a major toy company I respect has the same scent and, I believe,
taste, for teething toys. Not as bad, seeing as teething toys have a
respected place in the breastfeeding relationship.
