Has anyone done a swallow study on this baby?
My first grandson was born with terrible torticallus (sp) and I did get mom to take him for "body work". But like this baby he still had difficulty nursing and reflux ... meds started but almost exhibited the same symptoms your talking about with this baby/ mom. He also had a hyper gag reflex that I'd noticed when I helped her with nursing.
To make a very long story short, I kept feeling something wasn't quite right and finally the pedi ordered a swallow study. We found grandson had dysphagia so when he weaned ( at 14 mon) from the breast his sippy cup fluids had to be thickened. Still things weren't quite right and another referral found he had significant muscle weakness in the tongue and cheek but only on one side.
So I'd suggest maybe seeing if they'd do a swallow study if the kiddo keeps on with the arching, etc....
