Hello wise ones,
I am working with a mom, who is a midwife, baby #4. Babe was 17 days old on
revision of upper labial frenum and lingual frenum. I saw them thre days
post revision to check healing. Mom was concerned about the colour of the
healing eschers. They are bright yellow, the color of liquid b vitamins.
The mom said that the baby had some watery eye drainage that day that was
the same colour. This baby is still clearing jaundice, so my initial though
is that is what is causing the bright colour. There are no signs of
infection and in all other respects the sites look very normal.
I am wondering if anyone else has seen this, or has thoughts about what
might be causing this. I'm not worried, but I'd like to reassure mom.
Thank You!
