Well much as I hate to admit that doctors in my area need lots more education
on breastfeeding. I find I need your collective help again.
A few days ago a new pediatrician in town (we are growing like crazy) told
one of my mothers that he couldn't believe that she was still breastfeeding
at one year. He said "Don't you know that breastmilk turns into water at one
year? It still looks white but it has no nutrients in it at all, it is just
basically water."
I can't let this pass!! I need some scientific references and I am going to
put together a great letter that the mom's in our breastfeeding group will
sign.
Also we could buy him a book. Which one do you think would be best for this
purpose.
Please help anyway that you can.
