I certainly didn't intend for Zithromax to get a "lacnet curse" (!) from my
one comment. I just wanted to point out that the side effects might not be
good for a mom sleeping with her baby. I have known several other people
who had similar reactions to Zithromax. Of course, I've also known one
person who died from Imitrex (LLLL from Kansas, Terrell Graham), and another
who barely survived Imitrex, and then only because she'd gone to the ER to
inject herself during a migraine. And of course, I almost died from the
side-effects of chemo for stage 1 breast cancer. So maybe I have a skewed
view of what "side effects" mean. But certainly the doctor didn't warn me
about the bad dreams side effect of Zithromax, and I didn't read the package
insert until after I'd taken it.

My philosophy is always to make sure people are fully informed about the
possible side effects.

I found the package insert -- yes, I still have the rest of the unused
prescription in a bottle in my linen closet, along with many other outdated
medications. This prescription was from the mid-1990s when Zithromax was
brand new, and it says "cognitive disturbances during sleep." Perhaps this
warning was removed from later package inserts???
