Sarah Barnett, you wrote of a dehydrated baby, who, after feeding, was
stuporous, lethargic, and unresponsive. How long did this last? Couldn't the
baby have just been tired, and needed a little rest? They do have deep sleep
needs, particularly after stimulation for an assessment, and they seem to
"check out" for brief periods. An 8 hour period without urine can include some
sleep time as well. How old was the baby at that point? It seems that there is
missing information in that piece. Also, why would the baby need quite that
much supplementation(1-2 ounces every 2 hours)? I wonder what were some of the
other concerns you saw?
