Joan Meek serves as a Director on the IBLCE board as well as a Medical Associate for La Leche League.  The mix of representing the formula company (because by speaking for them, isn't that what she is doing?) seems very strange to me.  I welcome additional perspective from her as she must have a reason for accepting this newest role.
