Rob--  I would suggest not forcing a baby to eat "baby" food.  Allow him to
pull foods from mom's plate only when he is ready to do so.  Many babies do
not eat solids until 9 months or later (my daughter was one) and will only
take "real" food with real flavor.  What's the rush?
