I have a copy of this, if anyone wants, just send me your snail-mail
address. It may not get sent out til the middle of January though!

I've always wondered why the hospitals feel obliged to give free formula
(either to newborns or older kids in pediatrics) when they have no problem
charging $3.00 per tylenol. Why not just buy the formula at normal retail
prices and then add it to the bill? I fought a number of charges on my last
childbirth bill, including the $12.00 for a tiny tube of lanolin cream that
I didn't ask for and didn't use, and left behind telling them I was refusing
it. I also fought the $3.00 each charge for six tylenol that I never took.
The hospital's attitude was "Your insurance company is paying for this, so
why do you care?" and my response was that it was illegal and immoral to
charge people for services/goods they didn't need/want and didn't get. Why
is formula so different? Why not just charge the patients? The hospitals
could still agree to exclusively use one company's products.....
