Hi Lisa, I hate to say this, and I know it is VERY early in her lactation course,
but in my experience, very soft breasts (which I refer to as flaccid) are a sign
of decreased glandular tissue and low milk production. So I would ensure followup
for this mom/baby.
If the laid back position is not working well and tends to obstruct the baby's face, you can
try baby further down on mom's torso so he is looking up more, or angling baby
to the side a bit in the arm that mom has wrapped around baby. The laid back way
may not work for them. Try football hold since she had a c/s.
