A short letter to the editor last month reviews the breast milk level of
paroxetine(Paxil) in one patient at steady state. Source = Spigset et.al.
J.Clin Psy. 57:1, p39, 1996

The concentration of paroxetine in milk, obtained 4 hours after the dose(20
mg/day), was 23 nmol/L (7.6 ug/L). This is a milk:plasma ratio of about 0.09.
Daily dose to infant would be approximately 1.14 ug/Kg body weight or about
0.34% of the maternal dose, exceptionally low.
