Well this has been a very interesting chat for me. I decided to check
out each option and found out that I personally do much better with the
hard pump horns. Glad I checked, I had been using the soft and not
getting much out when I pumped, I also put in the smaller inserts. I am
getting milk both ways and I think that the suggestion that if you pump
with and then remove the inserts, you are getting all the milk ducts is a
good one. I am experimenting with the horn inserts to see if I "qualify"
as small nippled or not. I am on the fence right now. I will tell the
mom to try both and see which produces more, I just wish I had alittle
more scientific way to tell her. I will tell her to go with which is
more comfortable and which produces more milk, right? With my inserts,
the places that I hand express dont quite seem to be far enough in to be
stimulated but I am gettng a bit more it seems with the inserts. Perhaps
that alone is the answer.
JP
