friends--this is my first time posting so I hope I am doing this correctly.
I was forwarded the following CDC swine flu guidelines (link) from my NM at the
hospital where I work. The guidelines state that moms w/ the virus NOT put baby to breast but pump and have another caregiver feed the baby.??? Does this make sense to anyone???

1.doesnt mom makes protective antibodies and passes to baby-- specific to the
environment they both are in??
2. by the time mom starts w/ symptoms hasnt she already exposed baby??
3. sick mom trying to pump 8x/day to maintain supply AND handing off bottles
to infect yet a 3ed person???

Curious about your thoughts.....
