The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine's protocol on supplementation of 
healthy term babies lists research on newborn feedings and gives 
suggested amounts per feed as:
1st 24 hours:  2-10 ml
24-48 hours:  5-15 ml
48-72 hours:  15-30 ml
72-96 hours:  30-60 ml
