This article was on Military.Com this AM. I was surprised because it usually
contains articles related more to military topics.
My son has been deployed to New Orleans with the 82nd Airborne. I told him
if he sees any tiny babies being given bottles to go ahead and talk to the
mother about relactation and how important it is to breastfeed. He said "mom, ho
w many new moms are going to listen to a Paratrooper in full gear, carrying a
M-4, discuss breastfeeding." Hummm.
This was in the long list of Motherly advice I was giving to him as he was
waiting on the plane. Other advise was about using sunscreen, insect repellent,
hand sanitizer, not touching his mouth or eyes, wearing a mask or at least a
bandana over his mouth, keeping his feet dry, etc etc etc. No matter how big
and bad of a warrior, they are always your little boy.
