Hi All,
  Karen, I agree completely with your comments on the formula rep giving
the breastfeeding inservice. I tell the people I talk with, that to me,
the fact that the majority of handouts (on breastfeeding) are written by
formula manufacturers, is like having JC Penney do Sears ads - in that
context, they understand the absurdity of it. I have continued to wonder
why no one appeared to see the absurdity of formula reps & manufacturers
being involved in breastfeeding literature and education. I am glad to
be in contact with people who do see the absurdity of the situation. It
gives me hope that perhaps we can change the situation in the future.
