I am hoping to have many lactnet meals in New Orleans, and would like to
encourage some enthusiasm for this.  I realize a lot of people have had to
chose between ILCA and the LLL conf. but I hope people realize that this
would be a good year to help support their professional organization.  It
seems to have been a year of frustration and growing pains as ILCA out-grew
the kitchen tables where it was so lovingly incubated.  The change has
apparantly been fraught with false starts and some confusion, but now is the
time to  demonstrate if we are serious about having a professional
organization for LCs by sending in our memberships and supporting the conf.
-- which is, after all, a wonderful educational experience even if you are
mad at ILCA.  No one told me to write this; this is just how I feel about
it.  Anyway, I hope to see many Lactnet friends there, and anyone who is
going, please email me and we'll plan some get-togethers.
