I just have to comment about the statement "...people feel guilty only
when they know in their hearts that they are wrong." I know many women
who feel guilty for breathing.  Sorry but some women feel guilty about
everything.  And I do believe that the guilt may have no basis in
reality.  That statement may fit some of the women we encounter but not
all.  We live in a society that creates guilt--anatomy of selling
products.  Women get a fair share of this craziness.  Mothering is the
number one-guilt trip.  We are bad mothers if we do this and don't do
that.  We feel judged, tried and convicted no matter what we do.

I think we need to educate people that guilt is not the issue.
Breastfeeding is about making a health care decision that effects the
physical and mental health of two people.  Each woman needs to know the
facts and apply them to her situation.  The decision to breastfeed is
not about guilt, it's about informed consent.  Valerie W. McClain, IBCLC
