About 1-2% of all patients who take fluconazole will get diarrhea. In spite
of the rash sounding minimal, and perhaps not even related, this should be
watched closely. I would not necessarily stop the fluconazole for diarrhea,
unless the mother it is bad, Steven-Johnson syndrome has been associated
with fluconazole use (as it has with almost any drug), and this can be
fatal. If the rash is progressing, she should stop the fluconazole
immediately.
