This only vaguely relates to Terriann's comment, but I'll tell it anyway!

On a long flight for our honeymoon trip, my new husband and I found
ourselves seated next to a woman with a baby who was perhaps 3 months old.
The baby started to fuss and the mother cooed to him, jiggled him etc. and
to no avail. Then, suddenly, no more crying and fussing.

Never having seen a woman breastfeed, my husband, with eyes twinkling,
leaned over and whispered to me, "I'd never know what she was doing except
that....I... KNOW!"

He wasn't shocked by what he saw, but rather, by what he didn't see!

>Nowadays, I don't bother to ask and I breastfeed everywhere, although I am
>so >much better at it now that people don't often notice.
