Hello all,

There has been a big hubaloo on the breastfeeding boards over the past few
months. A woman in California has adopted a drug baby. From what I
understand she has had this little one from birth. She tried to establish a
supply her self but was unable to do so. The baby was on "all" the
different formulas & apparently would not tolerate any. She then went to a
milk bank & found the milk to be too expensive. So she started to solicit
breastmilk donations from women who post to breastfeeding bb's on the net.
She is feeding her baby milk from total strangers who have answered her
requests.

My question to you all is this......Can this practice be considered safe?
IS the baby's Dr (a naturopath apparently) correct in saying that this is
actually good for the baby "may different breastmilks......many different
antibodies" her doctor has allegedly said. Does anyone else think that this
is a very strange & dangerous thing to do? any thoughts on the subject
would be gratefully received
