Count me in on the 'prematurely anxious' side.  Ilene, this sounds entirely normal to me.  The net weight change was 1 oz from discharge weight, but it's likely the baby reached lowest weight sometime in the first 24 hours after discharge, not before.  The 1 oz difference from discharge weight tells us the baby has stopped losing weight and is actually gaining, and might have gained considerably more than the 1 oz difference between discharge weight and weight at doctor's office.  
This is one of the most typical scenarios I come across in my work at an early discharge clinic, and there is nothing at all here that would get me worried.  If she had walked in to my office I would have observed a feed, but based on the weight at birth, discharge, and now, I would not recommend test weighing for him, for sure.
