Renee, You're doing a great job. The babies in your hospital are very
fortunate that you are putting in place such rational measures to ensure
that formula is only given on good medical indication. Quite right!!

My brief suggestion for the very ignorant male nurse - how about fixing
your best smile firmly in place, and handing him a copy of the 3-part Fresh
Look at the Hazards - available in a nice pack from ILCA
www.ilca.org? Perhaps with the ILCA Position Paper, nicely referenced,
which starts every para with the words, Research shows ....." before
listing all the normal health consequences which accrue to babies who are
breastfed??

And, amongst others, one of the important reasons that you don't teach
formula feeding to groups of mothers in your classes is because that would
be a clear violation of the Code.

Keep up the good work!!
